Welcome to InKing Royalty's April Blog Hop. Today we are celebrating April Showers - not only is this the season for Baby Showers and Wedding Showers, but let's discuss May flowers! I am quite certain you will see a great variety of projects along the hop.
You may have started the Blog Hop here or may have hopped over from Lisa Pretto at http://www.inkbigacademy.com/diy_royalty.
After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next Royalty member. And remember, if you get off track at any point during the blog hop, there's a complete list of participants at the end of this post.
My project today for the blog hop is for a special birthday in June. Many of you know about my Glam-Girlies, and my precious Princess Addison will be turning 5. At the Gray House, birthdays are big productions. This year we are celebrating in the Cinderella Theme!
I wanted to include the Princess as much as possible in the creative and planning process. We decided we wanted to make our floral center pieces out of paper flowers.
This is our finished project! We are in the process of making 10 of these center pieces. We used the bundles from Stampin Up of Petite Petals and Flower Shop. Along with Pool Party card stock and ink.
This is well worth the time, it's not expensive but a 10" diameter styrofoam ball will take 150 large Flower Shop flowers and 45 petite petal flowers. The pins are pearl ends and the smallest straight pin pins from your local fabric store. Plus, you need to make sure you leave a small unused space at the bottom to glue your base too.
Another close up of the paper flower arrangement.
The final project sitting on a table waiting for the party!
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you'll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, our wonderful leader, Brian King at Stamp with Brian. You certainly won't want to miss any of these projects.
