Today is a very special day for a sweet friend of mine named Julie! Julie is one of those friends that you have to think outside of the box to surprise her on her birthday. Yep you guessed it, it's her birthday. My blog today is totally devoted to Julie!
This is my sweet friend Julie and I celebrating the month of September birthdays! I am happy to share my month with her (wink). In preparation for her birthday I made her a box of Thank you cards, (I will be share those with you later this week), along with this special birthday card.
I had an awesome time making this card for Julie. It's not her favorite color; her favorite color is blue. But, blue looked to summer colors and its fall ya'll. Plus I am totally in love with blackberry bliss paper. For that matter anything blackberry bliss! It's such a fun color to work with on many projects. Oh yeah, BACK to Julie....
This is the close up of the card. It is truly a very simple and elegant card. I added pearls for just a touch of contrast and because JULIE is a very southern belle! She is witty, funny and truly the kindest person I know.
And this is my after look of my craftroom! Whew! Thank goodness for the beer stashed out here. It's all clean and spiffy now.
But before I go onto the recipe of my card; I wanted to leave you with a little something as to why I am inspired by my sweet friend Julie. Julie is a highly trained nurse but her love is acting. I may be a little biase here but I think she is Fab U Lous! And with modern technology I was able to find her reel that her agent sends out to the directors. Honestly, I have no idea who all her agent sends this out too but I thought it was really cool and I wanted to share it with my readers. So with further ado, I introduce you to my friend Julie!
